The Adjunct Faculty position requires teaching graduate courses in the online Clinical Leadership (CL) track. Clinical Leadership is a generalist master of science in nursing (MSN) track, and is consistent with the expectations and competencies of the Clinical Nurse Leader role as developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Candidates acquire the competencies necessary to analyze systems, assess risk, and fulfill the roles of care environment and clinical outcomes manager. The program includes core courses in nursing theory, nursing research and health care systems, as well as advanced-level courses in pathophysiology, health assessment and pharmacology, and CNL specialty role and practicum courses.
An earned doctorate in Nursing and previous graduate-level teaching in the online environment is preferred; a master's degree plus relevant clinical experience will be considered.
Expectations:
Ability to teach graduate courses in nursing; computer skills necessary to teach in an online environment; and ability to communicate effectively. Desirable characteristics include: record of scholarly activity or promise of scholarly activity.
