Description
Central Michigan University seeks qualified part-time temporary instructors to teach the following English courses:
Course: (Metro Detroit, Michigan)
ENG 303 Technical Writing
Course: ( Online)
ENG 326 The Literary Dimensions of Film
Requirements:
Ph.D., Ed.D, or MFA in English or related field.
Additional Requirements for all courses listed:
Candidates are required to submit a past or proposed syllabi and two (2) sample assignments representative of each course interested in teaching.
To teach adult students online candidate must have online teaching experience or be willing to successfully participate in the online training provided by CMU’s Center for Instructional Design in online teaching.
The successful candidate will teach adult students in classes offered on alternating weekends for three weekends or one night a week for eight weeks. A generous stipend is paid plus reasonable travel expenses incurred with the teaching of a face-to-face course.
The University does not cover sponsorships to the United States and/or relocation expenses for temporary/part-time instructors.
