DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Nine-month tenure track full-time faculty position. Instruct will be required to instruct freshman and sophomores in course in their discipline. Teach courses in Spanish, in class and online. Oversee adjunct instructors in discipline. All instructors assist the division dean with curricular program (textbook orders, supply orders, advising, course scheduling, and equipment maintenance). Campus duties include participation in faculty, division, and campus committees and other assignments made by the Division Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters degree in discipline is required. A Masters degree near completion will be considered. A secondary teaching area is desirable. The applicant must possess the following: excellent organizational and verbal communication skills, ability to demonstrate collegial behavior, computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, able to work flexible hours, be willing to travel as needed, willing to continue professional development. Preference will be given to applicants with community college or junior college teaching experience, knowledge of use of technology in the classroom, experience teaching via online teaching, experience working in a Hispanic servicing institution, and able to start January 2009. Finalist will present a brief teaching simulation before the search committee.
