Description

Darton College is seeking a dynamic, creative, experienced and successful leader to fill the position of Dean for the Science/Math Division. The Dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Darton College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees and certificates. A two-year comprehensive community college and unit of the University System of Georgia, the College serves a 14 county region. Darton College actively recruits both nationally and internationally. Opened in 1966, Darton College has experienced a growth rate of over 40 percent in the last five years and currently enrolls over 5,000 students in transfer and career two-year associate degree programs and one-year career certificate programs. Darton College also offers a comprehensive continuing education program.

Qualifications:
•Master’s Degree in Science, Mathematics or related field; Doctorate preferred.
•A minimum of four years of successful teaching/managerial experience.
•Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Faculty recruitment and supervisory experience.
•Strong computer skills.
•Commitment to the teaching and learning process in a two-year community college.

Contract Provisions:
•Full-time, tenure track twelve-month position. Rank to be determined by qualifications.
•Starting date: Negotiable.
•Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
•Administrators receive all benefits provided by the University System of Georgia, including hospital and major medical insurance, group life insurance, Georgia Teachers' Retirement System, Social Security, liability insurance, and Workman's Compensation.
