POSITION: Full-time, tenure track faculty position in a two-year technical college
SALARY RANGE: Salary is commensurate with education, experience, & placement on the MSU-Great Falls Faculty Salary Structure
POSITION AVAILABLE: Fall Semester 2009 (August 19, 2009)
CLOSING DATE: Open until filled; for best consideration, apply by November 30, 2008
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide classroom and laboratory instruction in Human Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, and Microbiology courses. Other biology courses also possible; option to teach summer courses is available contingent on enrollment. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
•Must be able to adjust to a variety of teaching situations, including a wide range of student preparedness;
•Develop and teach courses relevant to the Montana University System General Education Core;
•Teach courses using traditional and alternative delivery systems;
•Position may include teaching evenings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field or Master’s degree plus 18 graduate credits in Biology or closely related field required;
•Experience in course development and teaching at a post-secondary level required; teaching at a two-year college preferred;
•Experience in laboratory course preparation and instruction preferred;
•Computer literacy preferred;
•Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required; and
•Ability to relate well to students of various ages and backgrounds required.
