Overview

FacultyFinder provides a feature-full suite of administrative and search tools to subscribing institutions (academic and corporate).

SEARCHING TOOLS: Institutions can search the FacultyFinder database by factors such as academic area, online teaching background, learning management system and experience. Each variable on the applicant’s FacultyFinder portfolio is a searchable field. Using these powerful search features you can find the persons who are a good fit for your program. While the primary use of FacultyFinder is the identification of online faculty, some institutions use FacultyFinder to find potential faculty in their geographic area. SCANNING TOOLS: FacultyFinder’s proprietary portfolio structure allows you to easily scan a person’s experiences and qualifications which are relevant to teaching online. View a sample user’s subdomain at http://johndoe.facultyfinder.com. Click here to view larger image.
ALERTING TOOLS: If you search the database for an individual with a specific (perhaps rare) qualification such as a PhD in “Postmodern Theology,” and there is currently no one in the database meeting that criteria, you can turn on an alert and the minute someone with that qualification creates a profile you will be informed via email. COMPARISON TOOLS: One of the challenges of dealing with paper-based applications and resumes is viewing all of the candidates qualifications at a glance. FacultyFinder provides a grid viewing tool which allows you to identify factors in the profile which are important to you. Then FacultyFinder creates a grid of these factors on a single screen for the applicants you have selected. Never has comparing applicants been easier! Click here to view larger image.
COMMUNICATION TOOLS: FacultyFinder has integrated emailing tools so that you can send an email to all or selected candidates from the pool which you have selected. Using this feature you will not have to track or type a candidate’s email to communicate with them. Click here to view larger image.
SORTING TOOLS: FacultyFinder’s folder structure allows you to create custom folders into which you can place and sort potential online faculty candidates. For example, you may be searching for an accounting instructor and a math instructor. You can simply create a folder for each search and send selected candidates to that folder for storage. Then the records in your folder can be sorted and printed either individually or all at once. Click here to view larger image.
